The Faculty of Social Sciences covers the scientific study of human society, social relationships, economic systems, political systems, psychology and the social dimensions of human life. Departments typically include Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Geography (where placed in Social Sciences), International Relations and Diplomacy, Public Administration, Mass Communication (where placed in Social Sciences), Anthropology, Demography and Social Statistics, Social Work, and Criminology where offered.
