Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara (DSPO) is a state-owned polytechnic located in Otefe-Oghara, Delta State, in southern Nigeria. History

Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara was established by the Delta State Government as one of three state polytechnics distributed across the state\'s senatorial districts, with this institution serving Delta South. The Otefe-Oghara location, in Ethiope West Local Government Area, was selected for available land and proximity to Delta South oil and gas industry. The polytechnic admitted its first students with founding schools in engineering technology, applied sciences and business studies, with programmes configured to address technical workforce demand of the Niger Delta oil and gas sector. Through subsequent decades the institution has expanded faculty offerings under successive Delta State administrations.

Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara operates from a campus in Otefe-Oghara, in Ethiope West Local Government Area, southern Delta State. The campus features academic schools complexes, engineering workshops, the institution library, lecture theatres, hostels and administrative facilities. Otefe-Oghara is connected by road to Warri (about 1 hour south), Sapele (45 minutes south) and Benin City (1.5 hours west). Air access is via Asaba International Airport with daily flights to Lagos and Abuja, and Benin Airport accessible for additional destinations.
