JAMB Subject Combinations
Adult Education candidates must register the following JAMB subject combination. English Language is compulsory for every course in Nigeria.
O'Level Requirements
Five SSCE credits including English Language and Mathematics, plus three course-relevant subjects.
For Adult Education, you typically need 5 credit passes at SSCE level (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB) at not more than 2 sittings. Required subjects include:
- English Language — credit pass (C6 or better) is compulsory.
- Mathematics — credit pass (C6 or better) is compulsory for most science courses.
- Three (3) additional credit passes in subjects matching the JAMB combination above.
Direct Entry (DE) Requirements
You can also gain admission into Adult Education via Direct Entry if you hold any of:
- OND/HND with at least Upper Credit in a related discipline.
- NCE with at least Merit in two relevant teaching subjects.
- A'Level / IJMB / JUPEB with passes in at least two relevant subjects.
- Cambridge A'Level in at least two related subjects.
