## What this means for parents
Use our [Education Cost Calculator](/tool/education-cost-calculator/) to project total cost over your child's full programme. The headline tuition figure is only part of the picture — accommodation, feeding, transport, books and miscellaneous add 2–3× more.
## State + private universities
Most state universities have held tuition flat for the current session, though service charges have been adjusted. Private universities adjusted fees during the previous academic year and are largely stable.
## Tracker policy
We verify fee changes against official bursary notices before publishing. Unverified social-media reports are flagged and excluded.
